The rarity of the crash

Located in the Welimada area in the Badulla District of the Uva Province, this waterfall is the largest waterfall in Sri Lanka.

This is a great tourist attraction. It is close to the falls during the rainy season but not during the rainy season. Today, the area is known by the same name as the waterfall.

The reason why this is so attractive is the cool climate and ecological beauty of the surroundings.  This is a water catchment area. It provides water for large scale farming.  An excellent resource that strengthens the economy of the area.  It is about 1 1/2 km from the main road to reach the waterfall and the road is also a difficult but unique experience. There is very clean water.  The surroundings are also very colorful.

Attractive and not without its horror. One person dies every year. There is beauty as well as danger. We have security.  Therefore, we must protect such valuable resources as well as our own security.

It is our responsibility to protect such places that are currently being destroyed.

One day you too can come and enjoy its beauty.
